2017 Hobie Kayak Fishing Team member Nate Gloria, and his passion for chasing Nebraska's finest largemouth bass stretch deep into childhood memories. An angler who grew up fishing from the banks of southeastern Nebraska lakes, Nate can remember the early days of watering the front lawn before supper. Only to return later that night armed with a flashlight to capture a bucket full of night crawlers for the next day's bass fishing trip!
Nate took the kayak tournament scene by storm in his first year. Nate finished in 2nd place overall in the Tail of Two Cities Series to punch his ticket to the 2016 Yak4It Tournament of Champions @ Lake Fork, TX. Nate finished 27th amongst 119 of the most prestigious kayak anglers in the country. Through his exploration and immense hours of experience fishing from a kayak, Nate finds great importance in understanding the behavior of prey or predatory fish in relation to the largemouth bass.
With having caught impressive Northern Pike, mass amounts of Crappie / Bluegill, and of course trophy-sized Largemouth Bass from Lake Wanahoo, Nate has been often been referred to as the "Wanahoo Wizard".
