Nebraska Youth Kayak Fishing State Championship Results
With the air temperature already at 80 degrees at sunrise and a brisk wind out of the southwest our youth anglers were facing quite a bit of adversity at the start of the championship this morning on Duck Creek Lake.
The bite would prove to be tough but these young anglers demonstrated their grit, resiliency, patience, and skill and catch quite a few bass today!
Auburn’s Tucker Judd would win his third title in a row with 72 inches for his top 5 fish in the 13-19 age division. Petra Clarke, who just graduated from kindergarten won the 12 and under division. All entrants who are 15 and under will be entered into a drawing next week for a Nebraska Lifetime Fishing Permit
There was a random drawing for numerous prizes including (4) $25 Ball Pro Shops Gift Cards. Charlie Ketcherside also donated $100 to the winner of the older age division. (More on this later!)
