The Nebraska 5 Bass/5 Lakes Online Challenge starts September 1st and lasts the entire month!
The challenge is to catch and enter one bass from each of five lakes you fish. You can fish more than five lakes but only your top five bass will be considered for the contest.
The total length of the five longest bass you catch will determine placing among participants.

This tournament series is open to all kayak and canoe anglers that pay the entry fee and register through TourneyX .com and have signed a liability release, ( found under view terms and conditions on TourneyX tournament page associated with this tourney), and must be submitted before you fish.

Anglers must have the appropriate fishing license for the waters fished and understand all pertinent fishing regulations that affect the tournament waters. Registration: Registration will be open until the night before the online competition begins and closes at 11:59 P.M.
The tournament will be conducted through TourneyX Management System and independently run and judged by an out of state entity.
TourneyX will offer registration, photo-submissions, and real-time tournament standing. You do NOT have to be a TourneyX member to participate. But must have a TourneyX profile to sign up.
No private ponds are allowed. Fishing Methods: Only artificial baits will be permitted for use during all events. NO live bait or dead bait will be allowed during any competition in the series. Rod and Reel are the only acceptable fishing method approved for use. Only one rod and reel can be used at a time.
Safety Regulations: PFD must be worn at all times while in competition. Violators will be immediately disqualified. No alcohol, illegal substances, or non-prescribed drugs may be used at any time while participating in any event. Drug and Alcohol use is strictly prohibited. Any participant found to be under the influence within reasonable suspicion will be disqualified, money non-refunded, and receive a score of 0.
General Rules: All fish will be immediately released unharmed after a CPR photo has been taken. Any one fish can only be submitted once. It is the angler’s responsibility to ensure that all fish submitted are different and failure to do-so will result in a disqualification of the duplicate fish.
Qualifying Fish: Catch, Photo, and Release alive only.
BASS: 12 inch Minimum length
For this event you may enter one bass from each lake you fish up to five. Only one bass from each lake may be entered and you may cull a fish from each lake. You may fish more than five lakes. Only your single best fish from each of the five lakes will count toward your total. Approved fish for competition are Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, and Spotted Bass. Your kayak or canoe must be visible in all photo submissions. If securing/holding the fish with a hand the hand must be between the gills and the caudal fin (tail) and not touching either.
All fish will be scored by .25” increments. If a fish is scored slightly under the nearest .25”, the measurement will be rounded down. The only approved measuring devices are the YakAttack Leaderboard or Ketch brand boards.
Weigh-In (Measure In) ALL fish must be submitted to TourneyX within 72 hours after CPR.
Failure to do so will not allow for the fish to be submitted. NO EXCEPTIONS. Judging of Submitted Fish: Tournament Pictures will be judged by an independent judge. Photos that do not meet requirements will be disqualified. The Tournament Director and Staff will be solely responsible and retain the right to declare any photos unacceptable.
After prizes are awarded, the tournament is declared complete. A 24-hour protest window will begin from the time competition ends. After that time All fish are deemed acceptable by of the Tournament Director
IT CAN NOT BE SAID OFTEN ENOUGH THAT ALL COMPETITORS ARE EXPECTED TO POLICE THEMSELVES AND OTHER COMPETITORS .. CHEATING IN ANY FISHING TOURNEY WITH FINANCIAL REWARDS IS AGAINST THE LAW.
Anglers are solely responsible for the uploading of their fish to TourneyX.com. The identifier must be present in the photo without obstruction AND CAN NOT BE TOUCHING THE FISH ANY WHERE. The fish should be positioned with the face to the left and the dorsal fin up. The mouth should be closed and touching the front of the measuring device. ¼” STANDARD DEDUCTION FOR OPEN MOUTH FOR THIS TOURNAMENT. An open mouth is considered when the color of the Hawg Trough is visible through the opening of the mouth. The measuring device may cause a pinching of the tail. This will not result in a deduction in the scoring of your fish. The tail must lay flat against the Hawg Trough. If it is raised from the board, you will be asked to submit an alternate photo and/or fish. If one cannot be provided, you will receive a standard 1” deduction. Photo must include the entire fish. NO obstructions. Blurred photos will not be allowed. Fish must face left and dorsal fin must be facing upward. Tail in any position but resting flat against the measuring board. Fish visibly unharmed. No restraint devices allowed.
Entry Fees: Registration and Entry fees are as listed on TourneyX.COM .
There is a $6.50 processing fee for this tournament that will be used to pay for the use of TourneyX Management System. An additional $1.50 will be charged to pay for judging. This is a total of $8.00. An additional $22 shall be sent by Venmo to the organizer (Marty-Hughes-11). This $22 will be the “pot” that will be distributed to the winners at the conclusion of the event.
Payouts will be administered to the top 10% of anglers entered or a minimum of the top three anglers under 30 participants.
10-39 anglers: 1st-50%, 2nd-30%, 3rd-20%
40-49 anglers: 1st-50%, 2nd 25%, 3rd-15%, 4th-10%
50-59 anglers: 1st-50%, 2nd 20%, 3rd, 15%, 4th-10%, 5th-5%
Tie-Breaker: In the event of a tie, the following criteria will decide the winner. 1st longest fish 2nd longest fish ETC
Eligible Watercraft: Kayaks or canoes may be man powered or trolling motor is allowed. Canoes are allowed. Float tubes, bass buggies, jon boats, sailboats, airboats, or air tubs will not be allowed. You may launch or fish from shore on any public property. You are permitted to leave your kayak to fish from shore or to land a fish or take the picture and you must always fish within eye sight of your kayak. Your Kayak must be clearly visible in all pictures of fish to be entered. If it is not the entry of the fish without the kayak in the picture will be disqualified. .. THE MAIN REASONS FOR THIS BEING ALLOWED IS SO ANGLERS CAN STILL FISH IN WINDY CONDITIONS FROM SHORE AND ALSO BECAUSE AT TIMES IT MAY BE UNSAFE TO MEASURE A FISH WHILE SEATED IN THE KAYAK for example in heavy current/wind/boat traffic or barge wake. Only one paid entrant per kayak.
IF YOU HAVE EVER BEEN INVOLVED IN AN ONLINE CATCH MEASURE PHOTOGRAPH RELEASE TOURNAMENT THROUGH TOURNEYX OR SIMILAR SYSTEMS YOU KNOW IT IS NOT PERFECT. WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO DEAL WITH ANY ISSUES THAT ARISE BUT WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY LOSSES CAUSED BY WHATEVER SYSTEM WE ARE USING AT THE TIME.
